Junior Camps 2010

The mission of our junior golf program is to provide a fun, safe and challenging environment that promotes the values of golf...and of life: Sportsmanship, character development, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Instructors: All camps are under the direction of PGA Professional, Daniel T. Sanderson.

Junior Camps

  • Jr. Camps are open to students between the ages of 5 and 17.
  • Students must provide their own clubs. Contact our golf shop if you need equipment, we have special deals for our campers.
  • Camps are limited to 8 students per session.
  • Each camp is divided into 3 groups based on age and experience
  • Camps run for 4 days (Monday - Thursday), 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.


Select Camps

  • Advanced Camp: Ideal for high school team members. A camp for the junior player with experience, who plays competitive golf and requires more work on strengthening mechanics, golf course management, shot-making and rules. • Students must be at least 11 years old to attend • More time on the golf course • Expanded video instruction
  • The time for this camp has yet to be determined based upon the number of participants.

Each camper receives the following:

  • Golf polo
  • Sheridan Country Club logo gift item
  • Divot repair tool
  • Group picture with teacher
  • Special offers in golf shop

Little Linkers                                                       
Ages 5-7
Stage One Golf
(4) 45-minute Sessions
8:1 Student to Teacher ration
Cost:  $100 per student

A fun introduction to golf providing juniors with the basic knowledge in a safe and game-filled environment.  This class is strongly recommended to help prepare youngsters for the may other levels Sheridan Country Club has to offer.  Designed for the beginning golfer, the juniors will learn basic skill development, build confidence and positive self-esteem.  Snag golf equipment and Birdie Balls are used to help introduce proper swing technique.  Little Linkers meet at the Junior Driving Range for four 45-minute sessions starting at 9:00 am.  Equipment provided if necessary.  All programs include an end of season tournament and awards ceremony plus barbecue.

Beginner Junior Level Classes
Ages 7-12
(4) 60-minute Sessions
(1) On-Course Session
8:1 Student to Teacher ratio
Cost:  $120 per student

Beginner Junior Level Classes are designed to develop the skill sets that are necessary for golf.  This is accomplished by the innovative use of skill stations and various types of training aids that will challenge the youngsters while providing a fun relaxing environment.  Beginner Juniors meet at the Driving Range for four 1-hour sessions starting at 10:30 am.  Gone are the days of just standing in one spot and hitting balls.  Equipment provided if necessary.  All programs include an end of season tournament and awards ceremony plus barbecue.

Intermediate Junior Level Classes
Ages 7-12 
(4) 60-minute Sessions
(1) On-Course Session
6:1 Student to Teacher ratio
Cost:  $140 per student

Intermediate Junior Level Classes are a continuation of the Beginner Level Classes.  These sessions feature more golf specific drills to develop habits that are consistent with improved golf performance.  Students will be moving from station to station, challenging themselves, while learning the specific skills to improve their game.  Intermediate Juniors meet at the Driving Range for four 1-hour sessions starting at 12:00 pm.  Equipment provided if necessary.  All programs include an end of season tournament and awards ceremony plus barbecue.

Advanced Junior Level Classes
Ages 13-17 
(4) 90-minute Sessions
(1) On-Course Session
(1) 30-minute club fitting Session
6:1 Student to Teacher ratio

Cost:  $150 per student

Advanced Junior Level Classes are designed for the player trying to make the high school golf team, play competitive junior golf events or those possessing a desire to improve.  We will teach the student how to practice all components of the game in order to make practice more fun and productive, including on course situations.  All programs include an end of season tournament and awards ceremony plus barbecue.
